Cecilia is an aspiring triathlete. She excels as the tandem stoker, is improving as a runner, and is seeking a coach/guide to help her with swimming. She completed the very popular Seagull Century ride on the Chesapeake Bay this summer. Cecilia lives close to Annapolis, Maryland. Cecilia is blind and hearing impaired.

Cecilia Warren is the Vice President of Maryland Area Guide Dog Users, Inc. (MAGDUI); which is a member organization of the American Council of the Blind. The mission of MAGDUI is advocacy on behalf of guide dog teams.

Prior to losing her vision, Cecilia served as a fire captain and paramedic for 20 years for the Anne Arundel County Fire Department in Maryland. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from UMUC in Fire Protection Science. Cecilia also holds n Applied Science degree in Emergency Medical Services from AACC.

Cecilia graduated from Guiding Eyes for the Blind with her guide dog, Gardenia. Gardenia is a black Labrador retriever with a quick pace. Gardenia’s outstanding work ethic permits Cecilia to embrace an independent lifestyle.

Cecilia is a full time graduate student at UMUC. She is enrolled in a dual degree program to earn an MBA/MS in Homeland Security Technology.

Cecilia is looking forward to working with C Different to participate in triathlons.
