About C Different

The C Different Foundation works to create opportunity for visually impaired athletes to participate in athletic events. CDF also seeks out other types of opportunities for our athletes to share their message. We promote total integration — not separateness — for blind and visually impaired athletes for the benefit of society in all countries worldwide.

Sir Isaac Newton said: “If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of Giants.”

"The C Different Athletes feel thankful that CAF (Challenged Athletes Foundation) provided the shoulders for them to stand on." —  Erika Musser

How Can I Become Involved?

One of the most frequent inquiries we receive is, "How Can I Get Involved?".

We are working on tools for those interested in connecting here, through this website—but, until those tools are ready, here is how we respond:

  1. If you are interested in guiding a visually impaired person in an athletic event, the best thing you can do is locate your partner locally. You can do this by reaching out to schools and organization for the visually impaired and blind in your neighborhood. After finding a partner, you can begin planning and training for an event. CDF is here to award grants for those teams who need assistance in participating in athletic events.
  2. If you are a visually impaired person who is interested in taking part in an athletic event; please let us know. We will try to pair you with someone available to train and race in your area of the country/world. This may sometimes take time, so keep that in mind.
